I grew up in Pula, Croatia, in a family with Czech roots, and moved to Milan to study mechanical engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
Living between countries made Europe feel like home in a way that goes past national borders. That started early: in school I spent three years in the European Youth Parliament, first as a delegate and then as a chair, and joined as many Erasmus+ exchanges as I could.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine changed how I saw that. Peace in Europe stopped feeling like a given, and I started wanting to help protect it with my own skills. That is a big part of why I'm aiming at aerospace and defence engineering.
For a year I kept coming back to ideas for drone and automation projects, and in September 2026 a PoliMi colleague and I finally started building one. It is teaching me how a real system comes together, from the first calculation to the hardware, and it is the kind of work I want to keep doing.
I work best in demanding, fast-moving teams, with people who push each other, on problems that need a creative answer rather than a standard one. I bring energy to a team and I learn fast, especially when the challenge is real.
