Base charge monitor

A small board in the Base that knows Faust landed properly, switches charging on, measures what goes in and tells Base Control.

01 / What it does

The project

  • Detects good contact on the feet before switching on charging.
  • Logs current and energy into the battery with an INA226.
  • Tracks battery health over weeks of charges, and reports it to the panel.
02 / Why

What it gives Volans

If Faust lands off the contacts, Volans finds out and lands it again instead of waiting for a battery that never charges.
