01 / What it does

The project

  • Faust Control flies one mission: take off to 1 m, fly the points, hover, return and land on the Base marker. It enforces the safety rules: a 4 m limit indoors, a battery check, land on any error, and the radio always wins.
  • Base Control runs the Base. It collects inputs, scores possible targets, proposes a mission with a plain reason and waits for Approve, unless Auto is on.
  • The mission passes between them as a JSON file, so the flight code stays fixed and tested while the decision side grows.

02 / Why

What it gives Volans

It's the nervous system of Volans. Every other software project plugs into it.

03 / Plan

Steps and targets

  1. 01Split into Faust Control and Base ControlDone
  2. 02Missions and precision landing in SITLDone
  3. 03Panel with map, Approve and launch hookDone
  4. 04First runs on the real FaustPlanned

Success looks like

  • The same code flies SITL and the real Faust
  • Ten full loops launched from Base Control
